Australian icon Pauls celebrates 70 years

Icon dairy products business Pauls is celebrating 70 years of milestones with a million dollar online promotion.

Parmalat Australia, better known as Pauls, started as a modest ice-cream producing business in the late 1930s and now produces many popular brands of milks, creams, custards and yoghurts.

The company was the first to introduce the square glass milk bottles with aluminium foil lids to Australia in 1948, and was first to launch branded high calcium milk (PhysiCAL) in Australia in 1989.

Pauls also installed Queensland’s first commercial electronic computer in 1962.

General Manager — Marketing, David Waugh, said that commitment to quality, innovation and ability to change was the reason for Pauls having an army of milk-moustached fans and a national employee base of more than 1800 people.

To celebrate, the septuagenarian is giving one lucky supporter the opportunity to win $1 million.

The Thanks a Million promotion will ask Pauls consumers to purchase any Pauls product and visit www.pauls70th.com.au or selected retailers to complete an entry form and include the last four digits of a Pauls product barcode.
