Cropscan Loren 1000G by NIR

NIR Technology Systems has developed the Cropscan Loren 1000G, a new protein and moisture analyser for farmers.

The Australian designed and manufactured instrument uses Near Infrared Transmission technology to measure protein and moisture in whole grains of wheat and barley and oil and moisture in canola.

The Cropscan Loren 1000G is the latest in the company’s range of NIR analysers for the agriculture and food industry.

The Loren 1000G is designed specifically for farmers as a means of measuring grain at the farm gate. The Loren 1000G is simple to operate with only 4 buttons.

Simply select the product and pour the sample into the flow thru sampling cell.

The grains are metered through the cell and 10 scans are made in approximately 60 seconds.

The average of the 10 scans is displayed on the LCD screen.

There is no delay or recalibration time required to move from wheat to barley.

A 10mm spacer is provided for measuring canola.

The Cropscan Loren 1000G uses the same NIT technology that has been developed in the company’s Cropscan 1000B and Cropscan 2000B which are NMI certified for protein measurement.

Even though farmer based analysers do not require NMI certification, the Loren 1000G undergoes the same calibration and testing process as the 1000B and 2000B.

A certificate of performance is provided with all Loren 1000G analysers and a Quality Assurance Program is offered to provide farmers with a Certified Reference Samples, Round Robin Samples, an Annual Service and nationwide technical support.

The Loren 1000G operates from 12 V DC supplied from either a car battery or a 240V AC power supply. Up to 6 product calibrations can be stored in memory.

Protein data is expressed as either Constant Moisture or As Is basis by pressing a single key.

An Autocalibration routine in the systems software provides a rapid means of adjusting the instrument to match a Certified Reference Sample or the local silo.

The software prompts the user to load a sample that has been analysed by the local silo and the instrument will Autocalibrate itself to the protein and moisture values for the sample.

The Cropscan Loren 1000G is a rugged NIT analyser that can be used in the header, the ute, in the shed or in the farm house.

Designed for Australian conditions the Cropscan Loren 1000G provides Australian grain farmers with a real option to imported analysers that are more expensive and no more accurate.
