VLT® AQUA Drive, VLT® AutomationDrive and VLT® HVAC Drive are now available in a low harmonic version from Danfoss.
The VLT® Low Harmonic Drive reduces the harmonic distortion and load on the supply network by actively imposing currents in counter phase, so that the high quality sine wave of the network current is restored.
Like other VLT® drives, the Low Harmonic Drive is built on a highly modular technology platform where the base elements have proven their functionality, quality and overall reliability in other parts of the broad VLT® drives program.
The VLT® Low harmonic drive has the same modular build-up as our normal high power drives and share features like high energy efficiency, backchannel cooling and user-friendly operation. Due to the modular principle, most elements are produced in large scale, leading to cost effective production. Where the performance of other low harmonic technologies depends on the network stability and load, or effect the controlled motor, the new Danfoss Low Harmonic drives continuously regulate according to network and load conditions without affecting the connected motor.
® Low Harmonic Drives are motor friendly, with output impulse and shaft voltages compatible with motors conforming to IEC 60034-17/25, as per standard VLT® Drives.
The VLT® Low Harmonic Drive meet the toughest harmonic recommendations and give the user full readout of the unit performance towards the network including graphical overview of network behaviour.
